Biography Update

While cruising through the non-fiction section of the local library we came across a reference book entitled “Something About The Author” by Anne Commrie published by Gale Publishing and in the 1973 edition, we found a brief biography on our favorite author. The first page is the same information we found online but on the second page, we found a brief quote from the writer that we thought you might enjoy reading.

First Page

Second Page

“When I switched to writing adult books some eight years ago I conscientiously abbreviated my name so that there would be no mix-up. I find now that I have only confused the postman because young people are a large part of Mrs. Pollifax’s ‘audience’, so to speak. I think this reinforces my belief that I write the kind of book I would love to find available, and failing to find it, write it myself.”

Now that really says it all. If you can’t find the stories you would like to read then by golly get out there and write them yourself. And please share them with us.

We didn’t find an updated biography page in any of the volumes that our local library had available.
