Great to meet you and, wonderful Post site, of which consist of very good information...bless you for the great post
Today, without knowing of Ms. Gilman's passing, I happened to think of looking up the Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax in my library in the basement. For some reason I wanted to catch up with the old books that kept my imagination going when i was a kid and still does. Anyway, after going upstairs I decided to look up her website to see if any new books were coming out or if i had missed any lately and learned of the sad news today. How sad and bittersweet my memories are of her. I have been a fan since ten years old and during a time of bullying, emotional turmoils and heartache grwing up, Dorothy gilman's books were such a gift for me and I will be saying a prayer tonight for her. Thank-you for being my friend when I was young. in spirit and may you rest in peace!

I am regular visitor, how are you everybody? This article posted at this web site is actually fastidious.
Re-reading, and re-listening to Barbara Rosenblat's audiobook performances of the Pollifax books has helped me a lot through a very difficult female 'mid-life crisis.' Although I read the books about ten years ago, I began again this summer prior to my 50th birthday. I really appreciate how Gilman sets up the character, who finds herself busy but useless, and ready to step off the roof of her apartment building. By pursuing her dream, being herself, and using her life experiences she's able to live an exciting albeit dangerous life; one that a young woman would not have managed. I know, I know, Pollifax is a fictional character. But all my heros have been characters. What they do is fictional, but the characters themselves, I believe, are personalities that can be found in real life. Or at least part of them can resonate within the reader. I am nurturing the Mrs. Pollifax in my soul, and she's keeping me from my rooftop!

Dear Emily Pollifax fans, Reelz.com, the website of the TV channel that played the "Kennedy's " miniseries and seems to be dedicated to the movie industry, has added a page for the 1999 movie, "The Unexpected Mrs Pollifax" with Angela Lansbury and Thomas Ian Griffith. I think Reelz is our best bet for getting the movie aired again or put on dvd.
Let's show our support! Thanks so much,
I just finished reading Caravan and wonder if the many uses of other languages were authentic. I have read the Mrs. Pollifax books, but really loved this book best of all.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mrs Pollifax
series....wish there were more!
Hello and happy birthday!!
I absolutely love your Mrs Polifax books. There so good, I don't normally finish books. I'm not a big reader but yours are so interesting and action packed that I can read them through and barely put them down. The nice thing is that there so complex and there's so many of them that I can go back and read them again in a few months and not remember how they come out.
Thank you for your wonderful creativity, your books are a joy.
Hope you are well,
Lily
Hi!
Thanks for setting up this website. I have enjoyed Ms. Gilman's writing for years! I always feel uplifted after finishing one of her books. Bringing it all together here is great!
Thanks again!
No new books for such a long time. Can anyone tell me--is Mrs. Gilman OK? I miss her writings; she's my absolute favorite!
I love Mrs. P, but I wish that there were more books with Madame Karitska.
