I fell in love with all the books that Dorothy Gilman has written. She is an amazing sleuth and writer and has such a wonderful personality that comes through as Mrs. Polifax. This character is so real to me and when I re-read her adventures for about the 3rd time time now, I still get the same feelings of joy and excitement. I wrote her a letter years ago and expressed my appreciation and she wrote me back. What a thill it was - to get a card from this amazing writer.

Has my favorite author really stopped writing? How I miss our dear Mrs. Plooifax. She's had such an impact on the way three generations of my family view older women.

I love the Mrs Pollifax series and I am always re-reading them. My mom and I read them together when I was a teen, she too loved them. I find great joy in Mrs. Pollifax's adventures and look forward to more. I also loved Thale's Folly. Thanks for years of great reading.

I am just crazy about Mrs. Pollifax. I had picked up some books on tape to listen to on my way to work. I was just delighted. I laughed, cried and felt like she was a wonderful friend.

Thumbs up!!

Please tell me about Dorothy Gilman's travels which surely are extensive for all the detail about the countries described in Mrs. Polifax's adventures.

A Dorothy Gilman fan who's happily introduced several younger readers to the pleasure of DG's books.

Ms. Gilman,

Thank you for the hundreds of hours you have given me through your Mrs. Polifax books! I have heard them over and over for many years. You are truly a genius. Why don't you set your next Mrs. Polifax in West Texas!

Thanks so much for sharing your incredible talent and for writing wholesome books.

Kay B.

The website has come a long ways since i first started perusing it more years ago than i care to admit(before kaleidascope came out). Keep up the good work, now if you could just convince the powers that be to re release the movies...

Ironically I was born in 1966 when The Unexpected Mrs Pollifax was first printed but it's only now in 2008 I was exposed to the Mrs Pollifax series and I have become an instant fan. Very entertaining.
