Hong Kong Buddha Review by Tony Hillerman

Hong Kong Buddha Review by Tony Hillerman

When Mrs. Pollifax on Hong Kong Buddha came out in 1985 our favorite author had moved out to Corrales, New Mexico which is just outside of Albuquerque. During this time there were only about 2800 people in that little village and must have been a great place to write and enjoy the views. Much different than Maine or even New York and I thought she was in Arizona.

We found a short review in the Albuquerque Journal Dated December 17, 1985 that was listed as written by the famous writer of the Navajo Tribal Police mystery novels.

It seems he was a fan as well.

I have found quite a few articles about Dorothy Gilman from purchasing a subscription to the Newspapers.com and will probably have to purchase another 6 months worth when the add some more newspapers to their database. It would be nice if they would get more from all 50 states. Sadly, not all areas of the country were able to have their newspapers moved over to microfilm before they disintegrated and then digitized so we can all access from online. It is so much fun being able to read newspapers from the early 1900s right on through to today online. You just never know what you are going to find.

Till next time, keep on reading!
