Happy New Year Fellow Fans

Happy New Year all the fellow fans of our favorite author Dorothy Gilman. We hope you have had a safe and happy holiday season. I don’t know about you but I have been re-reading all of my favorite Dorothy Gilman books and look forward to conversing with my fellow fans. To answer the number 1 question of will there be any more books? The answer is probably not. Dorothy Gilman is getting older and has not published any new works for over 11 years. We, as avid fans, wish her well and if there is ever going to be anymore books I am sure I will be first in line to buy one. All we can really do is read our favorites, share the books with our friends and relatives, and make up our own stories about our favorite characters. It is an open place for Dorothy Gilman fans to discuss the books, her characters and what story lines you would have like to read about. Just because there may not be any more books doesn’t mean we cannot create our own and share them with our fellow fans.
Another creative outlet we are hoping you will try out is participating in the All About Limericks – Contemporary Limericks Contest. Published September 10, 2008 | Hey Everyone! This theme includes and about me page so I thought I would fill in a little bit about me the creator of the Mrs Pollifax Fan Blog. I started the website about 7 years ago. I am a great fan of Dorothy Gilman and have read all of her books. I also love to work with computers and to create websites. I have changed the design of the site several times over the years because I get bored with the way things look and hope that the readers of the website appreciate a new look every now and then. With this type of format I will be able to change the look of the site as often as I want without having to retype and upload everything. The other great thing is I hope to be able to stay in touch with all of my fellow fans as well.
I probably will not be creating any more newsletters as they are very time consuming however, if you would PLEASE sign on as a subscriber I will be able to email everyone at once about changes and new posts in the blog. AND if you want to contribute new posts to the blog for commenting just subscribe and then email me so I can change your subscribers status to contributor.
I hope to encourage the other fans out there to submit their own story ideas about what happens next to the great characters that Dorothy Gilman created as well as any fan art, poems, limericks or whatever. We just ask that you keep it rated “G” as are all the writings of our favorite author. If you have any pictures to upload let me know as I am still learning about Wordpress Blogs.
