While we wait for the remaining Dorothy Gilman books to be converted over to eBook format we thought we would create some book trailers and social media posters of our favorite quotes from her books. While looking on Goodreads<\/a> today I found a list to get started. Making posters to post on our social media pages to encourage more people to take a look at her great books and share their enthusiasm for these still enjoyable stories could be a great thing to do this year. After all it is a new year and a new decade so lets make it a great one and promote our favorite stories by this great writer to all of our friends and family.

We have a some puzzles and search-a-words<\/a> created for a few of her books if someone would like to create some more to share with the rest of her fans that would be really great. I know is a book published for called ‘ Lesson Plans The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax by BookRags” that has lesson plans, quizzes, essays and other fun activities for kids in middle school for the first book in the series. BookRags also produced another book for this first book called, “The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman l Summary & Study Guide” which contains a synopsis of the book, discussions about the characters, places, themes and quotes from the book. Don’t know if either one is worth it but it is a very interesting premise and gives me hope for keeping her writings alive for future generations. <\/p>\n

We do have access to 23 of her books on Audible.com that you can purchase outright or get one of their monthly subscriptions that includes 1 audiobook of your choice each month and 2 featured ones. I’m not really sure how that works out in the long run so someone will have to let me know. <\/p>\n

We are still waiting on the balance of the “modern” stories by Dorothy Gilman to be converted over to eBook format. There are 12 so far and from what we have been told by one of her son’s recently the others should be released sometime this summer but before the next big holiday season. As of today several of the eBooks are on sale for only $2.99 on Amazon if you would like to pick them up before they go back up again.<\/p>\n
