Changes in Published 2023 – Enchanted Caravan in Hardback Now. This my first time creating a whole dustjacket for a book and I think it turned out really well. There might be some changes to future books but for the very first book that Dorothy Gilman Butters published it is quite nice. I stayed with the original published hardback book style as you can see from the video below. Publishing is changing as with everything in life. Yes, the big named traditionally published authors always get their hardback versions of their books first. But when you are publishing a backlist of any author, generally, you start with the most popular format (eBooks for now) and move backwards from there. We may not sell very many of these backlist books but just to have them available to the fans who truly enjoy reading them and passing them on to current and future generations is a treat for me.

Just an FYI we do have an audio version on Google Play for those who like to listen on the run. However, we are working with a very talented voice over actress to redo the audio version so that we can have it available for sale around the world. Updates on that soon. Celebrating Dorothy’s 100th Year
It would have been so cool is Ms. Gilman could have made it to her 100th birthday. It is such a great milestone and seems to be happening just a little bit more often these days. Since my grandmother and she share the same birth year I was also hoping that my grandmother would have made it as well. Sadly, she only made it to just one month shy of 99. Regardless, For all the June birthday people out there I wish you a happy belated birthday!
